BELGAUM: Jain College of Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Engineering will be conducting two day national level techno cultural fest 'Avensis' at Jain College of Engineering TS Nagar, Hunchanatti Cross on March 21 and 22.
"Avensis" is a two-day techno-cultural fest for students to showcase their engineering talent. Avensis, means to move forward, marches towards the goal of students to unleash their talent.

As a part of the fest, technical paper presentations for all the engineering streams, open technical quiz, a project competition for all students of Degree and Diploma engineering, LAN gaming, robotics, model making, LAN treasure hunt, Android app development, movie making and mixed cricket will be conducted. Apart from technical events, the organizers have also arranged non-technical events like group dance competition, fashion show, rock band competition, etc. Winners for various events will be awarded with cash prizes and gift vouchers.
General championship trophy will be awarded to the college with maximum registrations and winners.
S S Mahantshetti, Managing Director, Karnataka Microelectronic Design Centre, Manipal. The presidential address will be delivered by R G Dharwadkar, Director JCE . The chief guest for the valedictory function on March 22 will be Santosh Dharwadkar, Head - Cost Optimization, Wipro Technologies, Bangalore and Radheshyam Heda, Chairman, GC JCE, Belgaum, would be presiding over the function.
